Charlotte Lyons's creative repertoire includes a happy mix of design, crafts and art - as well as illustrated books she writes about creative life. Trained as a teacher, she has developed techniques for painting, stitchery, collage and design that infuse her work with an eclectic handmade charm.

After growing up in a household decorated with colorful textiles and flea-market finds, Charlotte's work is still inspired by the humble designs of traditional art and craft and the inventive use of everyday materials. Born and educated in St. Louis, Charlotte raised three artistic daughters in a bright pink house near Chicago. Presently, she lives in a green house along the Hudson River in New York with her husband and daughters.
